About Özgür Torcu
I am an experienced industry professional with a diverse background. After graduating from METU Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1995, I have spent 18 years in engineering, production management, project management and continuous improvement operations before transitioning into HR roles. Since 2013, I have held positions such as Plant HR, Global Business Unit HR, and ultimately Head of HR & Sustainability Management for group companies. My career spans multiple disciplines, providing me with a unique blend of technical and strategic insights. In my previous roles in HR, I oversaw all HR processes and HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) practices for local and multinational companies. I have successfully led initiatives in sustainability, including strategy, policies, and sustainability reporting. My hands-on experience includes guiding companies to publish their first sustainability reports and implementing practices that align with long-term corporate social responsibility goals.
Throughout my career, I have consistently driven process improvement by employing methodologies like Lean, 6 Sigma, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). I led global HR projects and coordinated continuous improvement programs, bringing efficiency and cost savings to complex operations. These projects spanned across continents and impacted large teams, honing my ability to integrate process improvements on a global scale.
This broad experience enables me to act as a strategic partner for organizations, and I now offer my expertise as a consultant in sustainability, process improvement, recruitment tools and assessments, and critical thinking training.
My consultancy services focus on helping businesses improve their operational effectiveness, build sustainable practices, and optimize their talent management processes. Let’s work together to bring measurable improvements and strategic growth to your organization.
